Thinking Of Using Soy For Hot Flashes

By Laura McFadden

Many females, when going through stages of menopause, will visit their family doctor and seek help to alleviate some of the symptoms. In many instances, the doctor will prescribe a course of drugs designed to reduce night sweats and other symptoms. A large number of women are now looking into more natural solutions and if you are thinking of using soy for hot flashes there are a few important things to be considered beforehand.

All general practitioners will have a list of medication that has been approved and they can prescribe to help them combat some of the unpleasant symptoms of menopause. Hormone replacement therapy is the most common of these and is widely used. A lot of HRT users have experienced side effects when taking it and the natural remedies could be better suited to these patients.

In recent years, many females have started using soy products in their diet to help with hot flashes and night sweats. Soy is very high in estrogens and this stops the body producing the chemicals that cause the sweating. It is not officially approved by doctors and the professional medics but many doctors have advised women to use it while the in depth research continues.

A lot of investigation had been done into whether soy is good or bad for women's health if used regularly. Some patients that have been questioned have reported digestive problems and other complications or side effects. At the moment there is a lot of research being done and the results have not yet been published and it may be a few years before there are any cast iron conclusions.

Medical reports have been published that have stated using soy can increase the risks of cancer in women. Breast cancer patients are often advised not to use it due to the levels of estrogens. These reports have been countered by others that say its use can help to prevent or slow down some cancers. If you are cancer patient and plan to use soy you should consult your general practitioner in advance.

If you choose to try soy to help there are many other ways to take it than drinking milk. Milk is the most popular way but many people also use food made with it including burgers, snack bars and sausages. Soy beans can also be used when cooking and many vegetarian foods also contain it and these can be found in most supermarkets.

When using alternative medicines, some care is needed and some you need to take a few things into account. If you start to feel worse or any other symptoms develop you should stop using it and try an alternative. If the soy seems to be working and you feel that it is beneficial you can continue to use it as long as good health is maintained.

Before using any natural treatment you should speak with your own doctor beforehand as you may have other health problems. Gentle exercise and a well balanced diet will also help and you may react better to your treatment. A lot of web sites are available that are worth looking at with detailed information on soy.

Understand Natural Pain Relief Options With Stockbridge GA Chiropractor

By Kurt Saniel

People who are suffering from chronic discomfort in their back or neck, has migraines or headaches that occur frequently and persistently, experience stiff muscles, or whose extremities, their feet, legs, arms, or hands, are tingly, achy, or numb, may benefit from contacting a Stockbridge GA chiropractor for safe, lasting, effective, and immediate pain relief.

Medications are great at numbing pain and masking symptoms, though the relief only lasts as long as the effect of the drugs, after which the pain returns and the cycle repeats.

Chiropractic doctors are experienced professionals at relieving pain, who follow a different thought process, and utilize alternative approaches to providing relief. They do not just mask the symptoms temporarily, they seek out the root cause of the issue and address it directly. In most cases, one of the spinal realignment techniques can help patients with varying degrees of discomfort, numbness, stiffness, or restrictions in mobility.

An injury resulting from an accident, sports, or lifestyle choice can affect the spine's natural alignment and wreak all sorts of havoc on the rest of the body. When the vertebrae are misaligned, they can pinch and compress the nearby nerves. These nerves then start to hurt and twinge and can lead to the pain and numbness commonly seen with back and neck issues but they can also affect internal organs and may even compound conditions such as high blood pressure, indigestion, IBS, heart palpitations, and more!

To pinpoint the root cause of a problem with extreme accuracy, and to determine what would be the most effective approach to alleviate it, chiropractic doctors utilize innovative diagnostic tools. A customized care plan is formulated for each patient based on their unique circumstances, to fix spinal misalignment and bring relief of pinched nerve symptoms. These situations, and the extenuating discomforts, are often attended with manual spinal adjustments.

See what Stockbridge Georgia Chiropractic can do for you and how they can help you find natural pain relief options that work!
