Food provides us the energy needed to start our day. Malnutrition is the result of poor eating habits and food that is detrimental to our health. Doctors often coordinate with another to help improve the patients health through diet and nutrition. Dietitians work in public and private health sectors the hospital and work with other professionals to help the patient. They also work in the community providing sound advice and practical solutions to community based concerns and problems. Sometimes work in public relations and media in giving informed opinions, delivering results and information about foods and nutrition.

Becoming a dietitian requires the completion of a four year degree. Courses such as bachelor of science honors in dietetics or bachelor of science in biological science and any relevant degree then a post graduate diploma. Before one is allowed to practice it is necessary to pass the standards of a regulatory board.
