By Zelma Hurley

You want to be part of a sports team. You know that this would be a good way for you to not only hone your physical fitness. There is a good chance that you might actually end up getting scholarship if you will make the cut. Since volleyball has always been something that you have been passionate about, you decided to take a chance this time and try out to see if you can make it.

When trying out, it is important to know what steps you can take to allow yourself to shine through the whole process. The people who are managing the Etobicoke Volleyball will have things that they would specifically expect from a prospective team member. It is on your hands to make it easier for them to make that choice on you by showcasing what you got.

height can make it easier for you to get noticed by the coaches. If you are one of the tall ones, there is a good chance that they have already noticed you from the moment you walked in. Coaches need people that have the right height that can hit and serve and block balls. This is why people that are taller tend to get better chances to prove their worth.

Love for the sports is another thing that a player who is trying out should display. Coaches would want to find those players who are really passionate with the sports and would do everything that they could to be better at their game. The more passionate players are always likely to get the slot than those who like the game, but are not truly excited about it or playing it.

A coach is there for a reason. His job is to coach you. His job is to bring your A-game every time. He knows how important it is that he find a player that is going to be easy to coach. He would expect you to have the flexibility to take his advice and his coaching suggestions into the way you carry out your game. Only when you display this attitude can he consider you for the team.

Of course, your skills are going to count. A lot too. No, the coach is not going to expect you to be the best there is, but he would expect you to have the necessary skills that would allow you to become one of the assets in the team. He knows that he is going to develop you to become a better player. But unless the basic skills are there, he will not be able to see the potential in you.

Your experience can also affect how well you are likely to play the sports, this is often seen int eh way you handle game situations and even handle game-plays. Coaches can easily ascertain which player has the most exposure to the field based on the way they play alone. Of course, most would prefer going for players that have been playing for a long time as supposed to those with less experience.

Your athleticism is going to count as well. Make sure that you will show to the coaches that you are the kind of player that is ideal for the athletic demands of the sports. Athleticism and energy are often going to be very important things that the coaches are going to look for when choosing prospective players.
