Are Females Better Auto Salesmen Than Their Male Counterparts?

From time immemorial, salesmen have the reputation of being slick and dishonest. The trickery and deceptiveness of car salesmen have been brought out in such movies as Used Cars, and The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard. There are several dealerships that have gone a long way in changing this belief. For a long time, car salesmen have been earning their bread through commissions. No commissions, no sales. No sales, no food, electricity, and rent. Thus the pressure was on.

Over a long period of time, the old adage Let the buyer beware has been in use. The thing behind this was that you had to lookout for your own interests while searching for your car.

Though not all car salesmen are this way, there are a few in the market that make it necessary for you to be wary. Car salesmen come in all types of manner, there are the smooth talkers and there are those that are straight. There are others that don't tell if not asked. It's also true, that their women car salesman as well as men. Are women better car salesmen than men?

It is true, that many women dread the idea of having to go look for a car and deal with a car salesman. At that salesperson is a woman, they are less likely to be apprehensive. The reason behind this is that they trust the woman salesman to be empathetic.

Additionally, women seem to have a softer approach. This thus draws people who would have rather ran away making them better salesmen.

Women are good listeners as they also seek attention. For this, women prefer women too men.

A question that puts women down when they are buying cars is "shouldn't your husband me there with you?" With women salesman, you're not going to get that. They assume that you know what you're doing when you come to their car lot by a car. In addition, most women salesman has been through that, know what it's like, and do not want to treat other women the same.

Women trust other women. They feel that they understand them much better. Empathy is one thing that is very significant when it comes to sales. Sales is really about emotion. Women know how to use emotion much better than men.

Most men will deal with a woman salesman. They are less threatened by women salesmen as they assume they know more than them. That's an advantage to the woman salesman, especially an honest one, who just wants to do a good job and earn a day's pay.
