Skin Care For Silky, Smooth Skin

By Cindy Seifried

The truth is that skin begins to get older as early as 25 years old. Nonetheless, as you age, you could find that your preferred products don't work anymore.

Here, then, are easy steps for silky, smooth skin:

Use A Gentle Cleanser

For dry skin, use a creamy cleanser. For oily skin, use oil-free foam. For sensitive skin, ask a specialist for a cleanser that doesn't irritate your skin. Apart from using a skin cleanser, be careful how you wash your face. Hot water can remove natural moisture as can vigorous scrubbing. So make sure the water is lukewarm and pat your skin dry.

Scrub your skin for a healthy radiance.

Scrub away dead skin by rubbing gently with a soft washcloth, using a spinning brush, or scrubbing with synthetic beads. Dry skin should be exfoliated once a week while oily skin can be exfoliated as much as twice a week. Another alternative is to use skin care products for exfoliation. You can use acne creams and anti-aging lotions with salicylic acid or retinoids. You can also get a CO2 laser peel, a chemical peel, or try microdermabrasion.

Fortify your skin with proper nutrition.

Your skin, like any other cellular structure in your physical body, needs proper nutrition. In particular, your skin needs supplements like C and E, which are readily available in a variety of lotions. Furthermore, vitamin supplements A and B3, available through lotions, help the skin recover from sun damage. Besides lotions and tablets, important skin nutrition comes from a healthy diet.

Use a Moisturizer

Emollients shield and improve your skin. Also if you have oily skin or breakouts, you need to use a lightweight, oil-free cream every day. If you have dry skin, you might need to use a moisturizer several times each day. Rub it on while your skin is still damp to seal in.

Keeping Clear Skin

You're grown up, so why haven't your pimples and blackheads gone away? Hormones, and stress may be to blame, among other reasons. Your dermatologist or an aesthetician can help you figure out what your skin needs.

Organic Ingredients Often Irritate Skin.

Science has not yet proved that organic cosmetics or those with all-natural active ingredients are better for you, and on some occasions, in the case of delicate skin, they may aggravate the skin.
