Excuses To Apply Sunless Tanning

By Haywood Hunter

Whatever the time of year, a healthy tint to your skin can make a nice difference. Many people achieve this by sitting in the sun for a while, absorbing the rays of the sun, resulting in darker shade to the skin. For others, however, the preference is for sunless tanning lotions.

There are a few reasons, of various degrees of importance, why this would be. The most crucial and often given reason is that spending too much time in the sun is bad for your health and your skin. Diseases such as skin cancer are a big risk if you do not take precautions, but it is a risk that does not exist with tanning lotion.

This is probably one of the more important reasons that somebody might have to make this choice. That it is more convenient is another reason that is somewhat less severe. Many find sunbathing to be boring, or they do not have much time to spend on it, or they just find it time-consuming, anyway, even if others consider it to be relaxing and easy.

All you need to do with lotion is apply it and then wait for it to dry, and this should take less time. It also could be that you want a tan at a time of year when the sun is just not out, frequently. If there is any sun at these times, it is probably still too cold for you to sunbathe. Your best option, here, is the tanning cream that will give you the glow that you want.

One of the main issues people seem to have with tanning lotion is that it does not accurately replicate how a natural tan actually looks. The complaint is that it looks too garish and too orange to look right.

This might have once been fully accurate and could still be, depending on which lotion you choose. However, there are many lotions and creams available, today, that can fully replicate the appearance of a natural tan. For those using sunless tanning, there are plenty of decent options around.
